Record from the Mac in the meeting
Capture your microphone and the audio playing on your computer. A separate bot does not need to join the call. Before recording, let the participants know and check that both audio sources are available.
Check the recording path
Microphone permission and system audio access are separate. If the other side of a call is missing, check the system audio source and macOS permissions. A working microphone alone does not confirm that the call audio is being captured.
Turn a transcript into useful context
Keep the conversation available for review. Bring its transcript into a Talkie workflow or agent session to request a recap, extract follow-up tasks, or work through an unresolved question. Review generated output against the original conversation.
Common questions
Does a bot join my meeting?
Talkie captures audio on your Mac. It does not need to add a separate participant to the call.
Does recording on my Mac mean transcription is always local?
No. Audio capture and transcription are separate stages. The selected transcription provider determines where audio is processed; a remote provider receives audio. Review the provider and workflow before recording sensitive conversations.
Can I send a transcript to an agent?
Yes. A meeting transcript can become context for workflows and agent work. If you choose a remote AI provider, the material supplied to that provider leaves your device.
